The murder of Labour MP Jo Cox is a shocking act. Almost as shocking is the way people ranging from Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to Labour MP Maria Eagle have sought to exploit her murder to discredit opposition to their policies, specifically the Brexit campaign.
Tsipras seized on the murder of Jo Cox to attack growing opposition to his corrupt government when he addressed an audience at the Acropolis Museum last night in a revolting attempt to wring political capital out of an unspeakable tragedy.
Labour MP Maria Eagle also appeared to jump on the bandwagon by claiming an eye witness had heard the attacker shouted “Britain First” , something denied by other witnesses.
